A plug does not replace a charging system
An Anderson connector provides a connection; it does not control how a battery charges. We assess the complete charging path and whether a compatible DC-DC charger is needed. Bring your caravan wiring information and charger details so we can plan the connection properly.
Installed cost depends on the job
Cable runs, vehicle access, connector location, protection and additional charging equipment affect the total. Your quote will identify the equipment and installation work included. Existing wiring faults can be assessed through our $80 initial diagnostic inspection; new installations use new wiring.
Common questions
Can you add an Anderson plug with a brake controller?
Yes. We can plan the power connection, trailer plug and brake controller together after checking the vehicle and trailer requirements.
Will a 12-pin plug charge my caravan battery?
That depends on how the vehicle and caravan are wired and what charger is fitted. We confirm the actual circuits rather than assuming every 12-pin connection performs the same functions.
Do I need to bring the caravan?
Send the caravan model and wiring specification with your enquiry. We will confirm whether the caravan or trailer needs to attend for compatibility and end-to-end testing.
Can you fit equipment I already own?
We supply and install equipment matched to your vehicle. Products bought online, including marketplace purchases, are not accepted for installation. Equipment purchased from Autobarn, Repco or Supercheap Auto may be considered after an in-person compatibility inspection. We use new wiring, not customer-run wiring. Used equipment is accepted only where it is a trusted brand removed by Garage Audio and retained in our possession.

Send your vehicle year, make, model and variant, the accessories you need, and how you use the vehicle. We can provide an initial estimate by email. A firm quote and booking require the vehicle to be inspected in store, and a deposit secures the booking.
