EV 12V power management
Electric vehicles use managed low-voltage systems for accessories. We assess the correct power source without touching high-voltage traction-battery wiring.
Sleep and parking modes
EVs may shut down or wake accessory circuits differently. We assess parking-mode compatibility instead of promising nonstop recording.
No mystery fuse taps
On suitable cars, the IROAD OBD-II connection avoids cutting vehicle power wires or tapping unknown fuses.
IROAD EV-MODE OBD-II SOLUTION
A dedicated EV setting. Not a standard fusebox job.
The IROAD cable has a F / EV vehicle-type selector and an S / P driving/parking recording selector. We confirm the compatible OBD-II connection, configure the EV setting and test operation on your vehicle.
1. Check your EV
Year, make, model, diagnostic connector and suitable low-voltage power supply.
2. Configure power
Correct EV-mode switch, driving/parking settings and battery protection.
3. Install and test
Neat front and rear fitting, discreet wiring and customer handover.
The OBD port may need to be unplugged during servicing. Not every EV supports this method.

What happens when your EV is parked and asleep?
Even a large EV traction battery does not guarantee unlimited dash cam recording. Low-voltage battery management, sleep behaviour and protective shutdown determine whether parking recording works and how long it lasts.

Will you splice into the EV wiring?
Not with the compatible OBD-II method. It avoids power-wire cutting and fuse tapping.
